The Professional Aviation Maintenance Association is a community of aviation maintenance technicians that strive for improved aviation safety, education, and industry recognition. To match aviation maintenance professionals with new opportunities, PAMA hosts a job board on their website. There are 6 regions of PAMA in the US, each with multiple chapters.

Brief History of PAMA

PAMA was established in August of 1972 in Pittsburgh, PA at the First Annual Convention. Just nine years later, PAMA launched its first trade show in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. In 1984, PAMA established the PAMA Scholarship Fund. Scholarships are awarded to students that seek aviation maintenance careers and established aviation maintenance technicians for continuing education or advancement.

PAMA Today

PAMA currently hosts aviation maintenance symposiums across the United States. One example is the Ohio Aviation Maintenance Symposium that takes place at Columbus State. PAMA offers individual and corporate memberships. Active military can join for free. PAMA also makes it easy for students to become members by offering low prices for students enrolled at FAA approved schools. PAMA is also partnered with the Association of Women in Aviation Maintenance.
